Feta con aceite de oliva y limón | Fried Feta in lemon oregano olive oil

FETA FRITO EN ACEITE DE OLIVA DE LIMÓN

INGREDIENTES

  • 1 bloque de queso feta
  • 1/3 taza de pan rallado Panko
  • 5 cucharadas de aceite de oliva virgen extra
  • 1 diente de ajo rallado
  • 2 cucharadas de ralladura de limón
  • 1/4 taza de orégano fresco, hojas enteras
  • Pan para servir
  • Miel para servir

PREPARACIÓN

  1. Empezar infusionado el aceite de oliva con cáscara de limón y ajo. Mantener el fuego y medio/bajo para que no queme la ralladura y el ajo.
  2. Cubrir el bloque de queso feta con panko.
  3. Agregar orégano al aceite y freír el bloque de queso feta. 2-3 minutos por lado.
  4. Cubrir con miel y disfrute con tostadas

FRIED FETA IN LEMON OLIVE OIL

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 (10-12 ounce) block feta cheese
  • 1/3 cup Panko bread crumbs
  • 5 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 garlic clove, grated
  • 2 tablespoons thinly sliced lemon zest (from about 1 lemon)
  • 1/4 cup fresh oregano, whole leaves
  • Bread, for serving
  • Honey, for serving

METHOD

  1. Make the lemon infused olive oil by heating up the oil with lemon zest and grated garlic clove. Keep the heat and medium low so that you don’t burn the zest and garlic.
  2. Cover the feta block in panko bread crums.
  3. Add oregano to the oil and pan fry the feta block. 2-3 minutes a side.
  4. Drizzle with honey and enjoy with toast.
